Southern Shishangeni Male Lion

The ever impressive South Shishangeni male in a beautiful evening light. This guy was a Kruger Park escapee in 2018. Having been pushed out of his old coalition of four male lions, he found himself on walkabout for a new territory and ultimately ended up wandering the N4 highway out of the park. Luckily he was captured and successfully reintroduced to the park. Better yet, he seems to have found a new coalition with two younger males! I managed to snap this photo in March of 2019. What a beaut.
